OCLA hosts NZ Clerks Office Representative

The Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa and the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives New Zealand engaged in attachment programme for the first time, to strengthen ties and improve parliamentary services amongst the two offices.

Andie Lindsay, Executive Assistant to the Clerk of the House of Representatives, New Zealand, was attached to the Secretariat division of the Office of the Clerk of the Legislative of Samoa for one week. Her attachment commenced on the 27th September 2016, where she shared her secretarial knowledge especially in the filing system, which was helpful not only to the Secretariat staff but also the Parliamentary Library staff.

In return, Mrs Lindsay learned about the Parliament of Samoa and how it operates, as well as observing services provided by the OCLA staff.

OCLA is thankful for this opportunity to learn from its counterparts on how to improve its services to the Parliament of Samoa.
