The Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly (OCLA), conducted the prayer meeting on the 21st September 2016 at the Faavae i le Atua Samoa, Government Prayer House at Mt Vaea.
The service was led by the Deputy Speaker, Tofa Nafoitoa Talaimanu Keti, who is also a lay preacher with the Methodist Church of Samoa. Senior OCLA staff also took part in the service; bible reading by the Clerk and Deputy Clerk, and prayers were said by the Assistant Clerk – Chamber, Manager – Translator and Interpreters and Principal Translator. The hymns were sung by the staff of the OCLA.
Prayer Meetings at the Government Prayer House is held every Wednesday, an initiative by the Government of Samoa to acknowledge God’s grace for His everlasting love and protection upon its nation, as well as seeking guidance for the development and well-being of its people.
OCLA was first to support this event by leading the Prayers on every third week, which prompted Government leaders to have all Government Ministries to participate in serving the same vision in prayer.
This is the second Prayer Meeting service held by OCLA for the year 2016.
